Reflective Narrative:
JAPN 403 is a course that was taught in English and was where we were introduced to the Capstone project and began working on it. Before beginning though, we looked at past Capstone projects and presented on one that we thought was interesting (see below). This was helpful because it gave us an idea as to what was expected of us and how our Capstone project should be. Also, it was in this course that we established who we would work with and what our topic would be. We created our Capstone title, research questions, significance of the study, and started the literary review. This course fulfilled MLO4 because we learned more research methods to find information in both English and Japanese. Also, for our midterm we created one of the first drafts for what would come to be our Capstone project (link). Through comments we received from the professor and our classmates, our Capstone went through many changes and we continued to work on it in WLC 400 the following semester.
