Reflective Narrative:
WLC 300 was a useful course because this is where we were introduced to the Major Learning Outcomes and what would be necessary for us to graduate. We also took a placement test (STAMP results) which let us know where are our Japanese abilities were at the beginning of the school year. As a Japanese major, this class was taught alongside the Spanish majors which gave us new perspectives which were especially interesting when it came time to discuss possible careers in the foreign language career. We also had an opportunity to visit the Middlebury Institute of International Studies as a class, which wa insightful and offered us another possible pathway after our time at CSUMB.
